"Doubt is a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction. After 10 incredible years with @nguyenlawyersalc learning from the best trial lawyer I know, I still harbored thoughts of doubt and imposter syndrome regarding my own skills as a lawyer. Maybe because I sometimes still remember myself as the girl without parents and feeling inferior to everyone else because of this. I took some time off recently to focus on spending time with my dog, making home-cooked meals, being outdoors, and traveling for perspective. I wanted to be sure that whichever way I continued forward was genuine and that I was “all in.” I questioned my passion and my purpose in life every night I went to bed these last few months. Every morning I woke up, I felt the same. That I’m a lawyer and I’m here to help people. This is my calling. This is my purpose. No more doubts. I’m excited for this new chapter where I will continue to help injured people by providing focused and compassionate representation. Family and friends, I’m here for you. 💛 Belinda Theam Law, ALC ⚖️"

"People always ask me what made me want to become a lawyer & I can never give a short & sweet answer. I have been through various things in my life that have helped shape me into the person I am today…rape, abuse, childhood trauma, suicide, addiction, depression, & anxiety just to name a few. I started businesses in law school and I worked as a dancer to keep a roof over my head. Ain’t nobody I can call on when sh*t go left, so I got this the hard way. I want to say this now that I will never be afraid to share all of those very intimate parts of my life because I know that my story has and will continue to inspire, motivate and help others heal.
I am a first-generation college graduate. I moved to Houston from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina at the age of 9 with just the clothes on my back. Product of a single black mother of 3 and an absent, abusive, drug-addicted father. From the age of 14-17, I spent most of my time in various Juvenile detention centers & got kicked out of high school. By the grace of God, someone took me under their wing & encouraged me to go to college. On paper, I was an at-risk youth and should very well be another statistic. I went against the odds though & became a person that will help change so many lives!”
